Suzuki Auto South Africa smashed sales records this October with 6,890 vehicles sold, marking a monster month that secured its spot as the country’s second-best-selling manufacturer for the 10th time in a row.

  • Halloween month registers new overall sales record
  • Best-ever government/rental/fleet sales
  • Second-best-selling manufacturer for 10th month running

October brought plenty of treats for Suzuki Auto South Africa, with no tricks in sight. Riding the rising momentum in new car sales, the Japanese carmaker hit a new overall milestone.
According to the latest official report from industry body naamsa, Suzuki sold 6,890 passenger and light commercial vehicles, topping its previous August high of 6,534 units by 356. This also marks the fourth consecutive month the brand has exceeded 6,000 vehicles.

Dealer sales accounted for 4,842 vehicles, while government, rental and fleet customers added 2,048 (beating the January record by 183 units). This robust performance again cements Suzuki’s position as South Africa’s second-best-selling manufacturer, a rank it has held consistently since the beginning of the year.

Of the 16 vehicles Suzuki currently has on offer it was the fourth-generation Swift hatchback that topped the sales chart with 2,377 units sold. This was followed by the Fronx crossover SUV at 1,369, the Baleno hatchback at 596, the Ertiga MPV at 521 and the Dzire sedan contributing 409.

“We are absolutely thrilled to set a new monthly sales record this October, and I want to thank every customer who chose Suzuki for their journey,” says Henno Havenga, GM of Auto Sales and Marketing at Suzuki Auto South Africa.

“From our best-selling Swift to our versatile commercial and SUV lineup, every model has played a part in this achievement. I also want to extend my sincere gratitude to our dedicated dealer network – their passion and commitment to service excellence make milestones like this possible. We remain focused on delivering vehicles that meet the diverse needs of our customers while upholding the reliability, quality and value Suzuki is known for.”

“With the final stages of 2025 ahead of us, we are more motivated than ever to finish the year strong and continue bringing exceptional Suzuki experiences to motorists across South Africa.”
