This year’s ULT.X festival was a riot of adrenaline, precision, skill and guts as world's top freestyle BMX riders and South Africa’s best park skateboarders competed for the top spot in the African Champs.

The event took place in Battery Park at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, which provided the perfect background as these action athletes battled for the ultimate title.

The Suzukis on display were clearly in their natural habitat. With the iconic Jimny to the sleek Swift, cheeky Ignis and versatile Fronx taking centre stage, the Suzuki stand caught the attention of competitors and visitors alike.

The Suzuki EECO had its own ‘Van Life’ display, which definitely struck a chord with this audience. In addition to the vehicle display, Suzuki also hosted 60 VIP guests and offered coffee on tap for all visitors to the stand.

To add a bit of extra adrenaline into the mix, Suzuki had two race simulators open to the public, which played right into the competitive spirit of the day. Sunglasses and Suzuki peak caps were handed out to visitors, with a number of lucky spectators receiving caps signed by BMX and Skate athletes.

The Converse ULT.X was originally established in Cape Town in 2008, which means there’s an extra level of hype and excitement every time the event comes back to the Mother City.

Congratulations to the 2024 Champions!

Suzuki would like to congratulate all the 2024 winners:

  • Adam Moses (South Africa) - overall winner in the Skate category
  • Khule Ngubane (South Africa) - winner of Best Skate Trick
  • Anthony Jeanjean (France) - overall winner in the BMX category
  • Jeremy Malott (UK) - winner of the Best BMX Trick

And a special shout-out to Ryan Matthyser and Monique de Koker, winners of the skateboard draw! We hope you enjoy your autographed PROLINE skateboards.

Already looking forward to the next one!
